In my studied opinion, Parrot Tree Plantation, Roatan, Honduras is a true "Legacy Property." By that, I mean, a property that fulfills those tests required to define a property or asset that will remain competitive, provide value appreciation, continued use, and if desired a favorable income over several generations. Examples of such "Legacy Properties" that exist and have provided to its owners and heirs significant benefits for generations include Rockefeller Center in New Your City, and Portofino, Italy, a delightful community of mullti-storied buildings that have attracted millions of residents, families, tourists and owners for many generations. Coca-Cola stock has accomplished the same for many Georgia families whose predecessors purchased stock early in the 1900s and still provide in their wills that the stock is never to be sold. Parrot Tree Plantation is an excellent long tem investment. As an upscale resort community that has deservedly attracted significant growing international appeal, it combines magnificent design and precise construction by its outstanding, environment-friendly developer, John Edwards. Architecturally, the land plan is exceptional. Aesthetics are more than pleasing from the classic interiors to the exterior elevations which enable this resort to pass these tests easily. There is nothing "trendy" in Parrot Tree Plantation. Each of the residences is special and unique. Artisans of great talent and pride have done their best to make every detail exact. Marble floors and vanities, Honduran mahogany cabinetry expertly fitted, and orientation to the Caribbean Sea's breathtaking vista of each residence are the result of careful planning and execution. Yachtsmen the world over will continue to come to the resort, attracted by one of the world's finest fishing waters and Parrot Tree Plantation's docking facilities. Roatan boasts the second largest living coral reefs in the world. It has superior boating and diving facilities. Artists will continue to be attracted to sketch, paint and revel in the details of the neo-Moorish designs influenced by the finest of the Mediterranean coastline. After
extensive investigation of the design, construction, and provision for
long term management and maintenance, I can safely conclude that yes,
Parrot Tree Plantation indeed qualifies as a "Legacy Property" NOTE: Mr. Simon, a native of seaside Delray Beach, Florida, is a graduate of Georgia Tech's School of Architecture, and holds an MBA from the prestigious Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania.
